BLS: CPR, First Aid, and AED
Discover the fundamental skills needed to save lives in the event of cardiac arrest through our Basic Life Support (BLS) course. This instructor-led program, presented through video modules, equips healthcare professionals and students (nursing, CNA's, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, doctors, dental, physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, EMT's and related healthcare professionals) with essential single-rescuer and team-based life support skills applicable in both in-facility and prehospital scenarios.
The American Heart Association's (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid, CPR and AED Course is designed for professionals with medical training who need a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, or any healthcare worker who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
The AHA’s BLS, First Aid, CPR and AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner in respiratory and cardiac emergencies for adults, children and infants with an emphasis on 2-rescuer CPR, use of the resuscitation mask, bag-valve mask and relief from choking. A written and practical test must be completed.
